I rode my bicycle to Tsujido in Kanagawa Prefecture, a distance of about 85 km. For a while, I just sat on the sand between two retaining walls and watched the waves roll in under a sky heavy with clouds. Rarely do I encounter such moments of peace in the context of daily life.
