Description
The view from my hotel room window on my very first morning in Shanghai in 2014. I had arrived the night before and gone to the hotel by taxi. Upon waking, this was what I saw. A busy, complex city, bathed in smog and low clouds. I spent a year living there, and learned a lot along the way. There's a lot I miss, and plenty that I don't, but that year was invaluable.
